All in...

SEVEN. A new series that Kevin is doing at newlife.youth. Seven weeks, seven peoples lives, and seven ways that Jesus changes everything. Tonight was the first night. The last few weeks, and the last few days especially, I have been getting very frustrated with this series. Instead of seeing it as something to celebrate because it is changing lives, I was viewing it as something that was taking all of my husbands time and energy. But tonight, everything changed. When I arrived at youth, I saw literally 400 students excited about this crazy idea. Many of them wearing SEVEN shirts, others dressed in school colors, and others in character for the drama that was about to take place (cheerleaders, football players, coach, students, nurse, firefighters, and paramedics). As hundreds of students were packed into a small room, my heart began to change once again. Worship was like a rock concert. The drama went on without a hitch and was amazing complete with a real firetruck, ambulance, and very loud siren. And then my husband rocked the pulpit with an amazing message. As I sat in the back of that room I was watching my husband come alive as he spoke. This is what he was created to do. God himself has his hand upon Kevin's life and has anointed him to carryout this work. And this thought crossed my mind...If Kevin could orchestrate such an intricate production full of God's power without my support, what is possible with my supporting and encouraging him every step of the way?

My role in serving Jesus and being on the mission is simply to support my husband and watch hundreds, no thousands, of lives get impacted for eternity. Its true that following Jesus is not always easy, and I'm sure that there will always be a struggle within me between ministry and my family, but I'm all in. Kevin, you amaze me. I am proud and honored to be your wife. I cannot wait to see the plans that God has for you. Thank you for always striving for excellence and seeking God's best. God is holding you in the palm of his hand saying, "Well done, my good and faithful servant!" I am so proud of you!
